Through the Neighborhood Training Institute (NTI), Hartford NEXT, Inc. (HNXT) provides programs to educate and empower the community.  NTI offers seminars, workshops, and programs designed to enable participants to implement their learning by targeting pressing issues in their community and delivering targeted educational and training programs.  Participants gain the skills and knowledge necessary to work across divides and develop a network beyond traditional neighborhood boundaries.   These programs are intended to improve the quality of life for Hartford residents by equipping and empowering local leaders with the awareness of available resources, aided by the foundational knowledge, relevant skills, and practical tools to advocate on behalf of their neighborhoods effectively.

The Hartford Foundation for Public Giving funds the Neighborhood Training Institute.
